For users with Addonics Pocket series product- When using CardBus/PCMCIA-USIB interface, only the PCMCIA mode can provide direct power to the Addonics Pocket drive. However, operating in PCMCIA model reduces the performance of the drive and results in lower frame rate in playing DVD movie. The alternative is to use the USB power cable that comes with your drive to get power from the computer to the drive or use the AC/DC power adapter when using the interface cable in CardBus mode.
